one of my customers swap a 5.7 for a 7.4 it is a 96 1 ton 4wd everything seems to work and it runs great but the speedo now works like a tac any thoughts

Does the truck have a tach? If not the ECM that they used for the 7.4 may have had one. Might need to get a cluster with a tach.

yes it does have a tach and as an exp. i found and clipped the tach feed and it still happens i am 4th tech to l ook at it and one of those was the dealer lol

Maybe a speed sensor issue.
