I'm sorry, but I'm not fully understanding your question. Can you be a little more specific?

hi flow cats will affect both sound and performance. better flow (more power)and louder sound. I don't have them on now but I had them on my mustang and it did make a difference. I suggest you do headers while you are at it.

I AGREE WITH POPO. HI-FLOW CATS ARE GOOD BUT IF YOU HAVENT DONE YOUR HEADERS YOU SHOULD. HEADERS WITH A GOOD EXHUST AND COLD-AIR INTAKE WILL REALLY IMPROVE PERFORMANCE. AS FAR AS A GOOD SET OF HIGH-FLOW CATS, YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH MAGNAFLOW. FOR HEADERS I BELEIVE EDELBROCK MAKES THE BEST FOR THE MONEY. I RUN THEM AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. IF YOU GO WITH A CHEAPER HEADER, LIKE PACESETTER, MAKE SURE YOU TOSS THEIR GASKETS AND BUY A GOOD SET LIKE FEL-PRO. HOPE THIS HELPED.

I don't think TN has emissions checks... I'd just get the Hooker longtubes with the y-pipe that bolts up to your factory exhaust and has bungs for your 02 sensors. Under $500.
