HID Lights
 

I just got a 04 silverado Z71 and wanted to get some HID lights. I really dont know much about them but after looking online I see some for as low as $79.00. Why spend $300? Has anyone got HID lights that can help me out?

Get them!! I have the 6k lights. Any more than that and the light emittance lowers and color changes. 6-8 is bout the brightest you can get. I freakin love mine. I can see everything on the road light day. I dont even have to use my brights. Easy to install. When you do get them, use the old o-ring off your stock headlights cuz the new one is too thick sometimes. It makes it hard to push it in and turn and lock. Trust me you will love them. I got the HID off of ebay for 36.99 w/ free shipping. 6k for the low beams looking to get the 6k 55watt kit for high beams soon and also have the 3k for fog lights. It is truly a NIGHT and Day difference. I can now see 3x more than the OEM POS lights. The only problem with the cheaper kits is that they are not completely stable all the time which means that you will have a little bit of a flicker. Its not that noticeable untill you pull up to your garage door and see them flickering lol.
