i was looking at holley throttle bodies, a little bigger than stock. says its got a 40% larger bore to it, but is it going to have a larger injector to compensate? says its 670 cfm but i dont know what the stock cfm is.

I would imagine that it would have bigger injectors to make the air fuel mix correct or it would be all jacked up. they have to be perportional to each other. I would do some research into that a little bit more. I would call Summit or Jegs and get there insight on that part to see what they think and also answer the questionof reprogramming the ecu to the new part.

Better yet, why don't you call Holley's customer support line since it is 'their' product.

Just a theory, what about one from a 454 TBI? It is a bigger bore, has higher flowing injecters and its own regulator.

Waist of fuel if you ask me. your truck won't use that much fuel.

i think i read that the holley has 2" bores and stock is 1 11/16". thier throttle bodies came with injectors as far as i know.

i was thinking about one of those myself, but i heard they have injector and idling problems... on the upside though, when i was lookingon ebay at em a couple weeks ago i saw around 5 or 6 fora 89, (but none for my 91)so i'd imagine you could probly get one for well under retail.

however the ones ppl are selling are probly more likely ones that gave trouble.... if ya get one let us know how it works for ya.

well i think my stock throttle body is giving out on me, and im looking at a replacement just trying to justify the price difference with the holley being a potential 300 more then a stocky. just trying to figure out if its worth it but i dont wanna switch out just to have more problems.
