Default how can i change the idle speed?

So I recently bought a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500, its currently idling at 500rpms while in gear. I wish to have it idle higher that that, is there any way that i can change that?
Thank You

That is where the computer is set at so you can't really adjust it. Mine idles at 500 and its fine. Mine is a 2001 5.3. Given it more idle will increase fuel consumption. There is a way to adjust on mine. The cable comin from the cruise control onto the throttle body has a nylon screw in. You can turn that in and it will make the idle go up. But the computer will probably adjust for it anyways.
