I have a 6 pound supercharger on a 2000 chevy silverado with currently 86000 miles on it. How long should I keep the system on my truck or is there anything significant I can do to extend the life of my engine given the miles and supercharger.

Well its a whipple 6 lb twin screw. I have the air raid cold air intake as well as the elongated pistons allowing for more air flow into engine. What do you think 72 charger?

Dude, you'll be fine w/ the supercharger. People think that they add so much more stress to a motor. It's 6lbs. Relax.

 

Yeah, if it was a Hyundai it would be one thing. I doubt that'll creat problems. Ofcourse if you thrash it quite a bit that'll shorten the life of the engine but that does that anyway.

 

I got a supercharger on my regal GSE and they add good power about 50 more hp. also another good mod to it is put a smaller pulley [8D]

 

No cam nor any head work done!! Stall? Explain that for me.
