Default How many miles are to many?

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy my first truck, and I'm wondering how many miles are to many. I've found a few trucks with 300,000 to 350,000 km's in really good shape at a really good price, and I've heard that they'll last 450,000 without very many problems. They're around 1995 and 1996. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

See miles matter but also check the engine and all its parts..see if it is in good condition or not...there are many to see in second hand vehicle

If it runs good and you are good at mechanical repairs then a truck can be good, but if you do not want to spend the time or money to repair a truck and the miles worry yout then move on. It is more of a qeustion of your abilities to repair and do you want to spend the time and money to repair it if need be?

Well any chevrolet truck 96 or newer with around 100,000 miles is just getting broke in. My 96 1 Ton dually had 567,000 on it when I sold it. It was the 7.4L vortec not a diesel. Only 1 transmission replacement in its life. basically it all comes down to how it was maintained. Other then looking at transmission fluid and oil there isn't anything mechanically to look out for. Inquire if nothing else as to when the transmission was last serviced. Just my opinion.

Any Chevy truck will last forever if properly maintained, no matter what engine/transmission/year combination it is. It's all based on the individual trucks history.
