How Much is too much?
 

just wondering what everyone is spending to upgrade their perspective trucks? So far I have spent $226 for K&N air filter system, $130 for Flowmaster with install, and $319.90 for Diablo Sports Predator Flash Tuner..

My To-Do List includes:

Total Cost = $6617.00

This is what my list includes right now.. After I get all this done, I also want to change out my exhaust and add headers. These prices are only estimations, but not far from the truth.

Sounds like a good list. Mine doesn't include that much (mostly because I'm married and have a kid :) ). I'm probably not going to focus much money on the engine since I'm not into racing and I don't do too much hauling with it. I'm more looking at body modifications:

Here, here! But I think despite being the same way, I've got a short and sweet list due to the overwhelming fact that I have a 95 Z28 crying out my name all day long. So for me:
-ECU tune
-billet grill
-Altezza clear tail lights
-possibly a windshield banner that says KONG in big high impact font

I should have these done by the end of the year. Then I'm gonna start saving money to rebuild my 4L60E in my Camaro. After I get my Camaro running good it has a lot of crap that needs to be fixed in it and on it (it is my project car after all) so I imagine my truck won't be getting much else done to it after those few things. I'd really like to get a picture of King Kong airbrushed on the tailgate. One of my dad's friends does airbrush work but I think I'm gonna put the money in something more useful for now.

Im calling the second list a 'maybe' list cause if I find a 69' Chevelle SS and/or a bigger house for a good deal I'm done with my truck.

Within 1 year:
* Repaint rocker panels and bottom of bed sides with Chip-Guard or Rhino Liner
* Chrome Rear Diff Cover
* 285/70/17 Tires for my 17" Denali Wheels
* Flowmaster Muffler

Maybe:
* 4 inch suspension lift
* Cowl Hood
* Push Bar
* Crane Truck Cam
* 35" Tires (For the 17s)
* Custom Grill
* Custom Taillights
* Alpine everything.

I am $1400 or so into it so far, and have a long way to go. I too think there is no limit, just plan on keeping the truck to make up for the investment.

i never keep track on what i spend on my truck, plus i get alot of the stuff from my brother -he works at an auto accessory shop.
i have a to do wish list
-custom tune
-rims tires
-lowering or lifting still unsure
-hopefully a supercharger someday

I'm with you Bow ...I don't want to think about it ...I work hard ...so I want to play harder.

I've done all the small stuff (I think) ...now it's onto the expensive stuff ...

I'm thinking I'm going to go with the package I spoke about on my pully post ...$2500 for: cam swap, roller rockers, push rods, diablo tuner, dyno, pully.

I make good money but I will forever be paying off my education and credit card bills that I rang up in college. Im stayin comfotably within my means for another year or so. If I can't spend cash, I'm not doin it.

Don't worry about doing that. Set up an account with photobucket.com and post your pics on your account with them. When your posting a message here on the same line that we have the bold, italics, and underline buttons, at the end of that tool bar is the add image button. You click the add image button and it will ask you for a url. Back on your photobucket account, once you've uploaded your pics, each pic will have a url link under them that you can copy and paste on here in the add image box that pops up. Piece of cake but time consuming if you haven't already got a photobucket account. Probably will take about 10-15 minutes to get it all figured out.

Heres a pic of the engine bay.not a good pic or a show engine ,but the before and after are stunning.Friends and the kids say wow what a difference.Mostly just cleaning and touching up misc pieces just to start.Lots more to come, this ohtta be fun cuz i always need a toy to trick out!
