dont you hate that? they trick the body out but leave the engine bone stock or dont compensate the motor for the mods done.

 

My 91' was exactly like this lifted beauty I saw at the dealer (minus the lift and tires but the body, trans and ci were the same) except the dealer truck was a Vortec 5.0. If I had done all those mods to my 91' without touching the engine it would have been the slowest truck around despite the gears. There is just too much weight there for a stock 5.0.

 

well after having both a non vortec 5.0 and non vortec 5.7 those 5.0s barely power up the weight of the truck i cant vouche for the vortecs as i havent had one but they can be real dogs.
