I have heat, I have heat.....yipeee
you all will never guess why I didn't have heat...................the heater coil in the black box under the dash had fallen down to the floor of the box allowing the fan to blow air over it and not through it. It appeared that a tab at the top part of the coil opening designed to hold the coil flush with the upper part of the box was broken off. I drilled two very small holes on each side of the broken area at the top of the opening and a hole on each side and used picture hanging wire to secure the coil tightly to the opening. I let the truck idle to normal temp and the air temperature at the vent is exponentially hotter than before. I guess all of this makes up for the fact that this morning I drove the truck in pretty cold weather to the barber only to see a "closed" sign on his door.

Congrats. I don't know what you call cold, but, if it's below 70 and I don't have heat.....I'll call in sick to work.

Congrats on the fix.
Cracker, does it ever get below 70 there? I remember going to Fl a few times and sweating constantly. |
RE: I have heat, I have heat.....yipeee
It was 62 @ 7 pm tonight. When I was in Cali I was freezing @ 7am, sweating by 9, and cold again 10 hrs later. What's that all about?
