i need headers HELP!
 
what would be the best brand of headers to go with on an01' 1500 with a 5.6 and i have a K&N FIPKcold air intakeandaflowmaster 40 series on itif that makes a difference

If you are wanting to use your Y-pipe then you are looking for the shorty headers, for the most part they are all the same. The coating or finish and the name is what you are paying for so most of the headers offered would be a good choice, just stay away from Pace Setter. You get what you pay for with them, they are cheaply made and dont fit right.

I agree with the Pacesetter thing. Edelbrock makes agreat product and it wont bust your wallet. Go directly to edelbrock.com

I got a set of pace setters and so did a friend of mine.(both 5.3's). He used the paper gaskets that came with the kit. I went and bought some Mr Gaskets or fel Pros for the LS1's from a local speed shop($20). his leak like a som'beach and mine fit perfect. just my $.02, though.

Hooker also makes a long tube kit with a Y-pipe for under $500.
