It all depends on what you want to do with your truck, that will help determine what motor to go with. I have the 5.7 Vortec. I like it, but I wish that I could get better milage out of it. I like diesels but they aren't very good for mud. (wheel speed is hard to get up fast) If you could find a D-MAX swap, that is what I would reccommend for pulling and highway.
