I want more power out of my truck but I don't know where to start. Any advice?

 

throttle body spacer, custom tune, thermostat... all those are pretty affordable ways to go faster... if you have money flying out your a$$ i'd go with a supercharger

 

What's a thermostat? and what programmer would you reccomend?

If you do decide to go with a power adder as far as SC goes. Magna Charger, and Kenne Bell are the best in the Silverado with the Magna apparently edging up a bit in power. The Bell is quieter also, no SC howl/whine. The 4.8 will also take up to a 125 shot with no problems, that probably depends alot on the condition of the engine.

 

U might want 2 look into a STS Turbo.

 

you can get either a 160 degree thermostat or 180... depends on what you want... you can get either at your local parts store... and as far as a programmer i'd go with either a custom tune or a diablo sport... although somebody posted earlier today about a diablo trinity? its not out yet but it sounded pretty good... forget who posted that
