My parents bought me my first truck, and it's a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. V8 engine also if that matters. The truck doesn't have a very loud exhaust, so I was wondering what would be the best to buy so it will sound loud? What is the prices to make my exhaust loud? As of right now it has the stock exhaust and is not loud at all. What is an estimate on the price it would cost to add the exhaust and stuff? I have no knowledge in automobiles, so please tell me the best exhaust to buy?

 

From what I hear stock exhaust is stainless steel, so if you get non stainless steel you will be downgrading. I bought A Borla cat-back dual exhaust system, T-304 stainless steel, off ebay for $760.00, full retail was over $900.00, took about 45 minutes to install myself, smooth sound and not obnoxious, high quality and will outlast the truck, thats what I was looking for, but, Borla may not be loud enough for ya if your looking for loud.

 

I had a Flowmaster Super 40 (single inlet with dual outlet) installed, with dual tail pipes and 3" stainless tips out the back for $250.
Most of the time it's cool but, recently.... it's too loud for me! I have 5 - 10" JL Audio subwoofers behind the seat and the exhaust note takes away from the music
