Idle problem

Default Idle problem

more about the idle problem: It idles up to about 1700rpm then drops to around 500 almost stalling i have to keep a little gas on or it will stall when it drops to 500

Have you made any modifications to the intake recently? Or had any work done to it?

I wonder if a knock sensor would have that effect. Is it possible to leave it at a dealer overnight so they can check for codes on start up?

mine did the same thing when my idle control valve went out a couple monthes ago. is that 2000 a distributorless system?

Yes, the 2000s use seperate coil packs.
