IFS suspension swap tech help appreciated

Hello, I have a 99 silverado 1500 4x4. I put on a 6" lift and 3" body lift. And im running 35" tires on 10" rims.

My problem is that these big tires are going through front suspension parts quite frequently. Wheel bearings at least once a year, and ball joints about twice a year.

What i would like to do is take the Aarms, spindle, cv shaft setup off a larger truck (3/4 ton, 1 ton). And replace my setup with a beefier one. Has anyone ever heard of this done before?? I don't see much troubles buying 8 bolts rims and doing some modifications. I've just started taking measurements from a few different trucks. Just wondering what you guys thought of this, or if you forsee any bad problems from this?

I think you should check out the articles about the red sled at www.4wheeloffroad.com . they are testing a IFS chevy heavy duty, and are haveing troubles so they plan on switching to a solid front axle. i'm planning on converting my '91 to a solid front axle. there are several sites that sell kits with just about everything you would need to convert over. i don't know what kind of bank acct. your working with but to the kits to convert are anywhere from $550- $750 from what i've found so far.
