jump seat mod
 

I have an 03 silverado with the buckets in the front but there is a fixed jump seat. For clarity, the middle of the front seat where the jump seat back should fold down for an arm rest and storage. there is a fixed back. has any one come up with a mod to make it fold down and act like an arm rest?

I thinking of going after it with a sawsall, turning it over so the leather is up, then fabbing a hinge. any thoughts? or attempts? if so please show pics.

Same problem. I think you just have to buy a new one. Its gana cost about $200 i think on ebay. No telling how much it is from the dealership though. If you find anything out post it. Good luck

i was looking into changing it out too. ive seen them on ebay for $200 and sometimes under. from what ive been told. its just a pain in the @ss to take out the old one and all that good stuff. but its supposed to mount in the same spot and no modifications needed to the other two seats. dont quote me on that though. i was gonna try and bring it to my buddy at the dealer and just see them side by side take the measurements. ill keep ya posted if it ever happens.

i saw one on ebay for 10 bucks! its grey though. wrong color for me. the shipping was about 80 bucks though. I'm gonna try to make one my self next month. i'll post pics if i am sucessful.
