K&N 63 Series
Experiences with this? Just wanna know if it'd be worth the purchase.

You will gain some torque. How much are you willing to spend?
|
I found this http://www.autoanything.com/air-inta...0A3270534.aspx for $356. I'm willing to spend $356 unless there's cheaper out there, but lately I've been buying a lot of stuff from Autoanything. You pay for what you get, so when it comes to cars I'll spend a little.

For that much a Volant CAI would be the best bet. Have you looked into those?
|
Hmm nope, never heard of it but I'll look into it. What's the advantages? I'm weighing the CAI or an exhaust. I'll eventually do both but not sure which to do first. I had a Flowmaster 40 series on my 96 Blazer and love the sound of it on the Silverado so I'll probably get it again but with dual out. Thank you for the new reference though and early morning response!

No problem. If you want exhaust, get the Cherry Bomb Extreme. Its 60 bucks and if you want rumble and sound when gettin on it, that it is the one! I've had flowmaster's, magnaflow's, gibson's, etc. Now I have that Extreme and it is close to a straight pipe sound but without the rasp or pop. I have had quite few people ask me what exhaust set up I had cause of the sound. As for the CAI, the Volant is probably the best since it isolates itself from under hood engine temps. That is the main reason for a Cold Air Intake. Volant- $370 Extreme Muffler $60. http://www.autoaccessoriesgarage.com...xtreme-Muffler

Just realized the second most popular result on Autoanything is the Volant CAI, watched a video they had on it and wow I like it. They also talked about the K&N allowing warm air in which I want to avoid. I actually read that thread before looking at exhausts with the Cherry Bomb Extreme and was amazed. Definitely sounds like straight pipes, the only problem is I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood where the cops like to ruin all the fun. I love turning heads with the sound but is it loud enough to get pulled over for? I've been considering a cutout but I'm sure the loss of back pressure won't be worth it. I was looking into Cherry Bomb's when I had my Blazer but it's too raspy on a v6 but damn that sounds good!

Well there is a muffler made with a remote cut out in it. Its $650 but sounds good. Im thinkin of gettin it...
