Keyless Remote Entry Quick Question

Hi All,
A few years ago one of the remote unlocking controls for my 2000 Sierra quit working & I never could get it going. Today, the other one stopped working. Since I don't have a working remote, I can't be certain if the problem is with the key fob electronics or with the truck.

I tested the following:
Remote Battery Voltage = Battery Is OK
Tried A New Battery & The "7 Second Both Button Push" (per Owner's Manual) = No Luck
Checked the TBC fuse in the Under Hood Fuse Block = It was OK
Checked the fuse for door actuators = It was OK

Can you think of anything I missed and something else I should check before I buy new remote controls?

Thanks For Helping. It is much appreciated.
Paul

My son is driving a 2009 Silverado that I bought new. It has had three of the four door locks go bad. Two were replaced under warranty and the third cost over $300 to replace at the dealer. There was obviously a defect in these to have such a high failure rate. If you have just one (now two) not working I would think that it is the door lock actuator that has gone bad. Good luck.

Thanks SlimJim for your reply. It's amazing how you had three of the actuators go bad. One more GM defect that they know about but won't fix for us? (Along with the easy-rust fuel & brake lines and everyone's piston slap.) Wonder why they don't take better care of their customers after the sale?

I didn't write my question well at all (nothing new about that with me!). The actuators are OK when I push the button inside the truck, but the remote controls are what I am guessing are bad.
