leveling kit gone wrong?
I just had a leveling kit put on my Silverado.. All looked good.. A few days later i noticed the back of the truck was crooked. My passengers side was higher than the drivers side by a little more than a inch.
Any ideas why? Thanks |
Is the front equal heights on both sides? Also you might get on the phone with the manufacturer of the kit you used and see what their thoughts are.

what was installed...front keys and rear blocks?
make sure the rear blocks haven't shifted...hopefully they didn't stack blocks. did you get it aligned afterwards? |
Yes both front sides are the same. I just don't know what would cause this.
|
Front shocks and keys and rear blocks and shocks. Nothing was stacked. Thats why im just baffeled by this. And yes it was aligned after the install.

re arch
I have a2004 Silverado 1500. I need to get my leaf springs re-arched. Does any body know where i can get this done near Holland mi.?

Is Suspension King near you? Almost any suspension dealer can do this for you.
Most of these look like they only work on big rigs, but they can look after our trucks too |
I love a lifted truck as much as anyone but I've stopped lifting mine or putting on bigger tires. Seems like the truck is never the same after that.

If your truck had equal heights side to side before the leveling kit was installed I suggest you look real close at the springs and block and make sure each side is installed the same. That all bolts are tight. Check the spring to make sure none are broke. You said the height appeared to be OK after the kit was installed. A small difference in block size makes a big difference in ride height. If the spring bolts were not tightened right the passenger side block nipple may have lifted out of the hole making that side higher. The shocks have nothing to do with ride height, they only dampen the spring action.
