Lift Kit

I have a 04' Silverado 2500HD, I want to run 38" tires" Super Swamper TSL" or "Nitto Mud Grapplers", but I don't know what size lift I need. I don't want too big, so the tires look small, or too small a lift so the tires rub...Any suggestions, Thanks...

6" suspension will clear 37s, so... 8" i guess...

Just do a 6 inch and trim some if you are trying to go cheaper.

According to the info thatI have it will take a 10" lift to get er' clear. Now if you wen't with a smaller lift that means more cuttin' on the fenders! So it all depends on what you will be using the truck for. I have a chart hanging in my CUBE at work that has the recommended lift size needed for each tire size, so if you need more help let me know.

there's no way it'd take 10 inches to clear 38s on a 2500... i know tons of them with 6" suspension and 37s... just get new wheels with some backspacing

Yeh but most of the 38" tires out there are 14.50" wide and that is the thing that kills most is the rubbing. What is the width on those 37's. 12.50 I am going to guess! The quote that I gave above is so that no rubbing should occur!
