List of things I suck at: #1 Applying window tint
 

As you may have guessed, yes, I tried tinting my windows this afternoon and straight from the word 'go' it was disasterous.

I purchased the wrong color to begin with. It was mislabeled as dark charcoal/black @ 5%. What I got was 5% all right, but it had this gross silvery finish within the 'black'.

Anyways, I will post pictures before I tear it all off.

[sm=joke.gif] I've always known since I first saw window tint that I did not posess the skills to do it. Which is why I'm glad the last 2 vehicles I purchased came with window tint already applied, LOL!

This stuff I bought was nothing short of a total whore. The first indication was the total cost for both windows was $14.99. (Plus $6.99 for squeegie, razor, and spray bottle)

I'm now on the hunt for some high quality stuff. Maybe tomorrow I'll stop by a tinting place and just buy the crap from them.

Just have them do it for you, then it will be right and should have a warrenty. I think I paid about 200 bucks for the Caddy. (5 windows)

Yeah, I had the windows on my car done. I will do the same with the truck at some point. But I wouldnt mess with the stuff, I know i would suck at it.

They make it look simple on youtube but I'd just have someone do it professionaly. I just had my door windows done 20%, he did a great job for $70 out the door.
