loose fuel line bracket

discovered this today too. it's located towards the front on the
driver's side of a 5spd manual transmission on a 99 silverado. the bracket steadies three lines. i think they are fuel lines because they all run parallel, heading back towards the fuel tank, and one is intercepted by the fuel filter. not sure why 3 fuel lines are necessary. i guess one could be a supply, another could be an overpressure return, and the third could be some type of vapor return. anyway, due to limited clearances, there is no easy way to drill out the broken screw. i'm wondering if there would be any harm just in leaving it dangle? or should i hack some kind of fix? the lines seem pretty stable without the bracket. any advice? I'd just leave it, to be honest.

^ I agree - if anything remove it from that black push clip and toss it so it doesn't rattle.

a few per year ? there has got to be a support group for that, you know, the kind that would help rev it up to a dozen :)
are Sierras and Silverdaos distributed differently across the US? some regions more popular with one than the other? |

I don't think so it is probably just a matter of where the dealerships have been as to their concentration. I seem to find a good mix around here. I know they seem to be cheaper in certain area's. I have flown to Dallas/Ft. Worth many of times to buy a GM truck in that area. I guess it must be Ford country around there. |
