Maintenance question?
 

sometimes i get a clunking noise when i put the tranny in rev. does any one know what is the problem and how i can remedy this?

can anybody tell me the lube points on the chassis and anywhere else that needs grease.

clanking noise like metal to metal from the rear susp. worn leaf springs maybe?

any body know where to get transfer case fluid besides 30 dollars a qt from the dealer? Thanks in advance.:D

make sure you get the CORRECT fluid if your thrifty shopping for it....10 bucks saved is not much when ya burn up a 2000$ transfer case.

Just use the factory fluid. Anything else will spell out certain doom for your transfer case. Buy the fluid, add it, and if it still clunks there are some other things you can try. There are 9 or 10 grease (zerk) fittings up front and possibly one on the rear drive shaft and one on the front drive shaft. There is at least 9 on the trucks front suspension.

I bought the dealer fluid auto-tracII $6 qt takes about 3 qts. I have the NP8 trans case. I could not find anything like that in any store. Good luck
