RE: Mods To Increase Gas Mileage

Fuel Filter I would do around 50K. Air Filter 12K or when needed. Pull the air duct off of the TB and as long as the butterfly isn't dark and/or dirty, you are fine. But since you haven't already, give it a shot. I do my MAF and TB with every air filter change.

180 will not drastically change your mpgs, 160 maybe because the truck never gets out of the "warm up loop".

Use SeaFoam if you can find it for fuel injector cleaner, I think its the best. FYI: running injector cleaner, say once with every air filter change, will be enough to keep you mpgs form decreasing. A K&N might make that air meter thingy on the air box lid obselete as it will always outflow a paper filter even when dirty but it won't hurt anything.

True about the 160deg i would definetly not recommend that for a daily driver unless you were running nitrous or something and just had to have it to make sure detonation didnt occur.

I need to get a tune on my truck im just waiting for more money and some headers would be nice as well. I cant say that i didnt know what i was getting into when I traded my jeep in for my truck. I knew i would get worse MPG's but I didnt really care i missed having a truck. I just want it to run good and sound even better.

has anyone tired a throttle body spacer? Just wondering if these really work or if they're trying to sell some snake oil...
