Which muffler is the best?
I have 98 Chevy Silverado 350 V8 with a K&N FIPK intake kit, Edelbrock shorty headers, and a performance muffler with dual pipes. My question is about the muffler, it is a Flo-Pro V-Force muffler installed by my local Tuffy muffler shop. Are these good mufflers? I am fairly impressed with it but not overly. I am thinking about cutting out the muffler and possibly replacing it with a Hooker Aero Chamber. From what I've read, these mufflers flow better than just about anything, even straight pipe. Would it be worth it? I am looking for a nice, powerful tone with a noticable power increase. Any help would be great. Thanks!
just last week i went to the tuffy muffler shop and they recommended the flowmaster 40.. So i had it installed and i loved it since then..

i had the same muffler installed on my 98 with true duals and i didnt like the v force after awhile. the gas mileage was better with that muffler. then i put two thrush glass packs and love them. nice and loud. you either get mileage or loudness there no compromise. but flowmaster super 44's are pretty good though too
not sure on how they will sound on a truck but I had hooker aero chambers on my 98 Z28 Camaro, and my 94 Impala SS and they sounded amazing! Flow was excellent with a deep tough sounding tone. It's one of the only mufflers I will ever buy now!
