Just one question out of curiosity, why would you buy it?

Why would i not buy it a $1500 to $2000 truck for $500 worst case i put a little tlc in it and turn around and sell it and make money. Or just sit on it for a toy.

The guy selling it was a friend and at first he was going to sell it to me for $1500 which would of been a okay deal. But i had done some work for him a few months back on some new land he bought so i could fish the ponds and i would not let him pay me for it so he said he would sell me this truck for $500 and call it even on the work.

I personally like it, either to use as a beater, or fix up and make it your project truck. For 500 bucks that is a steal. Not to jack this thread, but im just wondering if you noticed a difference when you put the LT headers on and exhaust.

Was he the original owner? Because I heard that some time around 87 threw 91 GM used some bad paint and they will paint it for either free or next to nothing. I dont know if you ever noticed but almost all the Chevy's around 89 have that paint issue.

Tried it on my 91 GMC, I fought tooth and nail to get them to repaint the silver bottom (it was red and silver two tone), which they did. That was the second repaint since new and after 2 years it still chipped away (just not as bad as before).
