i have a 2000 gmc sierra z71....124000 miles. was trying to change wheel bearings and came to a problem..got the bearing carrier out of the spindle but now cant get the shaft out of the bearing..even tried a gear puller..any ideas would be appreciated

 

Heat, but I'm guessing you're replacing the bearing anyway in suggesting it. It will fuddle-duddle the bearing.
