Need help with supercharger?

Ok Does anyone know where I can find a supercharger for a 1985 Chevy 350 4x4? I want one to put on my truck for better gas milage and more hp. Any help?

Ummm, If your looking for a supercharger for your truck just search it on google or look on jegs or summit racing websites. I got news for ya though. You arent gonna gain gas mileage with a supercharger. You will gain alot of power but the mileage will most likely be worse than it already is.

Most instances it stays the same as long as you drive it the same. But if you punch it and play with it all the time it will take your mpg WAAAAY down.

A guy on ebay had a truck like mine with a supercharger on it. I asked him what his mpgs were with the supercharger on it, he said he never noticed any difference at all, just more power. But he was an older guy so I assume he drove it normally. He DID say that if he tromped on it all the time he knew it would kill the mileage and eat the transmission up.

Oh something else to think about when bolting on a supercharger is if your running stock or close to stock internals in your engine that extra boost will put alot of strain on those engine parts. Ive talked with a bunch of people about it especially on ls1truck.com and they say if you dont upgrade internals its only a matter of time until you blow your bottom end out if you romp on it alot!
