Truck: 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 (SLE) Z71 4x4
Issue: Broken leaf spring shackles

I know what the problem is and how to replace the shackles, but the bigger issue is that when the shackles broke, the rear ends of the leaf springs shot up and punctured the bed of the truck. I'm not sure how to leverage the springs back down to attach them to the new shackles. I get the feeling that this is a fairly simple thing to do, but the solution escapes me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

 

I think just jack body up .Might be easier if you took shocks loose.
