Need to remove front bumper -- 09 GMC Sierra

I pushed my bumper in just above the front license plate and I need to remove it so I can use a rubber mallet and get it back to almost normal. Can anyone point me in the right direction for 'How To' remove the front bumper?

EASY

its seriously held up by bolts on the frame. just go under and follow the bumper to where it attaches to the frame and undo those bolts and it'll pop right off

worked for my rear and front bumper

Just to save you some embarrassment after you get the bumper off. Don't show your rubber mallet to your bumper. I think your bumper is just gonna laugh at you. :)

I'd like to see a picture of the damage. Your best bet is to straighten it while it's still on the truck.

Thats why i love chevy bumpers

nice thick steel....that rubber mallet will smash that bumper and it will look like a midget hitting a UFC fighter.. it will do nothing lol

They're right, that bumper won't move without motivation. Generally the type a torch provides will do it but you have to work it slow from the inside. If you heat it too fast it'll blue the chrome and considering chrome quality is **** nowadays, it probably will. Also, if you do heat it up, let it cool in the air, no cold water or oil bath. You don't want to temper it and make it brittle. Harley shops sell a cream that will remove the blueing on the chrome.
