Default need torsion bar help

I have an 03 silverado 1500 4wd...I have been struggling all day trying to re-install my torsion bars correctly into the lower control arm...I'm not sure if you put the torsion bar in first then connect the steering knuckle to the upper ball joint or vise-versa?? If anyone knows the proper steps to re-installing them it would be greatly appreciated... thanks guys!!

According to my Chilton manual they appear to be unrelated. In removing and installing the torsion bar it says nothing about the steeriing knuckle and on removing and installing the steering knuckle it says nothing about the torsion bar. So I would assume which ever works best for you. I would install the steering knuckle first then the torsion bar. Did you mark the torsion bar before removing? Or is it a new set of torsion bars?

You can do it in any way you like. I would prefer what TMW mentioned. i.e. steering knuckle first and then the torsion bar.

When I put the knuckle on first my upper control arm rubs underneath and if I put the torsion bar on and then the torsion bolts it would bring it down even further
