New Grill
 

I have a 06 silverado and I just bought a grill for it. It requires me to cut out the black mesh on my grill. Does any know why this is necessary? Also, can I avoid that cutting?

The cutting is because of the TYPE you bought. There are "BOLT OVER," grills sold all over. I bought the Mesh (looks so Bitchen) type like yours years ago when it was all they offered and cut the grill out, it was easy. Don't be afraid guy, I honestly think it looks better than a Bolt Over which I have seen installed. Plus it won't stick out so much nor will it be available for a 5 finger thief to simply rip off, tearing your grill you didn't want to cut in the first place, OFF.
