New guy..questions before buying
 

I'm new to the forum but have had several lifted chevy trucks in the past. I'm getting ready to buy a new 2010 or 2011 silverado 1500. Before I buy though I have a couple questions so I can figure out the options I want.

First, I would like to go without the navigation and put my own aftermarket stereo in (much cheaper). Can you install an aftermarket stereo that still works with the steering wheel mounted audio controls?

Second, are there many lift kits out for the 2011's yet?

Any help would be great. Thanks!

I know Alpine and Pioneer have units that will allow the steering controls to work with them. Not sure for the lift kits.
