newb question- what kind of gas do I use?
 

I get the feeling I will be getting that Silverado after all. What kind of gas do I use? Or does it depend on the truck?

Lighting it really all depends on you. I run 91 in mine. I took it on a 2000 mile round trip and it ran fine on 87. In town I run it on 91. Long trips 87 just save the little bit of extra money. You should be fine either way.

were also a bunch of smart asses, well most of us.

As far as what gas, I use different gas depending on the price. I always get gas from sonoco, 76, or hess as I seem to get better more consistent milage with these, as well as better milage. Also, if gas is 2.01 or less, I getlow grade, if 2.01-2.70 - mid grade, and above 2.70 - high test.I get a little better milage with higher octane, and ths is where the cost becomes a wash. I need to test it again since I have not tested since all my upgrades.

I am in Charleston, SC. We are at 2.91 right now, 2 months ago it was 2.01
