newmember-need '94 3/4Ton purchbase tips
 

Looking for a 3/4 ton pickup...first time in a few years. Today looked at a 1994 Silverado 3/4ton,4WD,5.7V8(350?),118Kmiles,AC,CC,PW,PDL,stockA M/FMCassette,TowPkg,sprayin bedliner, short running boards,automatic and ABS. Dlr. wants $10,000. I told him it was too much.

I know the '97's were known as having the hot engine. Am I loosing anything besides horsepower with the '94 engine setup? Price? I would expect mileage to vary from as bad as 7mpg with loads to, maybe, top of 14. Thoughts?

Is this throttle body FI? Any problems with that?

Besides normal mechanicals to check out, is there anything I should look for in this model year? I don't really want to give them more than about $8,000, but find myself uncertain about this model year.
