No headlight, interior light, security light on

Yesterday I noticed my power locks did not engage when I put my 1500 in drive. This morning my interior lights or headlights would not come on, even if I try any manual switches. The security light stays on all the time, also the power locks only unlock the passenger door, but unlocks them both.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a 2002 1500 ext cab, V8 5.3

Checked the fuses, and also disconnected the negative from the battery and held it on the positive for 30 seconds. Restarted the truck and nothing changed.

I fixed the problem. It was the Body Control Module that sits under the steering wheel. A new one costs $300, I went to a local junkyard and pulled one out and cost me $17.
Took me no more than 10 minutes to fix it.

Never heard of this. What does it do?

It controls, monitors and activates certain electronics on the truck. It's there so you don't have to have a device to control every electronic component, instead you a have one board to control everything and piss you off when you have no lights to drive to work in the morning.

New update. Not sure how this worked/didn't work, but a little while ago the new module quit working. By what I'm reading, you can't simply replace the module, you have to take it the dealership and get it programmed to your vin number. I still don't understand how it worked for a day and then quit. Anyway, turns out it was the fuse that powers the Module, replaced it and everything works fine. Thinking the fuse was partially blown and then finally completely blew.

Thanks for following up with the fix. Hope it stays fixed.
