Default No oil pressure???

We have a late 90's pickup at work(I am not surfe of the year). The other day the oil pressure gauge stop reading any oil pressure. It has plently of oil in it and I see no leaks. My first guess was the sender but I am not sure how to check a sender.I removed the oil fill cap and started the engine and I did not see any oil beingbrought the top.Can any of you guru's give me some advice on what tolook for or maybe check. Or is the a way I can check to see if it is the pump without having to tear alot of the motor apart.

Thanks, Marty

I had the same problem with my 2004 and the issue was the instrument cluster. The speedometer went shortly after the oil pressure guage. Fortunately, there is recall on late model Silverado pick ups so I am awaiting my check.

Mine would short on the parking break, factory was a factory recall. I think my truck has almost had every recall lol! So definitely call the dealer hopefully it's somthing that will fall under the recall.
