Leveling kits are typically (not always) torsion bar keys. These keys relocate the torsion bars in such a way that it causes the front end to raise up around 2" or so. (Torsion bars are the "springs" for the front suspension on most a 4X4 or heavy duty trucks. They can be adjusted or replaced via bolts in the cross member section of most trucks.)

you can fit 285/75/r16 on that truck with no problems at all... and as far as a leveling kit i think you need a kit for the torsion keys/bars or w/e comes in the kit, but dont quote me on that

I was in I corp(Leatherneck Square DMZ) for all 19 months. My Son's an avid Truck guy, traded a T-100 for a Tundra then went to a F250 V10 & now a Silverado Duramax HD CrewCab(I guess he made it to the TOP now). Very nice truck that he has, he likes his Dad's lifted & locked new 4 Dr JK Wrangler Jeep but still a truck guy. Atually he went to Camp Jeep with me this year & I let him drive one of the Trail's, he had a ball. I was checking on the the lift, and Readylift sells this front leveling kit, and he will be putting onthe 285/75/16 Pro Comp Xtreme AT on. Thx everyone, for all for all your kind input.
Semper Fi to all.

Hello all, I'm nam6869usmc's son. As you know I just purchased a 07 Silverado Duramax. Out of all the trucks I've owned, this one puts a real smile on my face. Now I have to accessorize it like my F-250. Thanks to my dad's connections, we just purchased a set of Procomp extreme T/As 285/75/16 for just under $600. I can't wait to see how they look and handle this winter.
