Noob need some Info
Hi I'm a NOOB,...my Son just purchased a Silverado HD 07 Duramax, he had a fewuestions:> will 285/75/16 or 33/X12x16(Pro Comp AT's buy 3 get one free) fit on his Stock truck.....& what does a (leveling Kit consist of) is this a can do at home lift. I do all my work on my jeep but this is a whole different ball game. Bye the way, awesome looking truck & indeed he impressed his Dad with the Holy Sh#t power that thing has.
Leveling kits are typically (not always) torsion bar keys. These keys relocate the torsion bars in such a way that it causes the front end to raise up around 2" or so. (Torsion bars are the "springs" for the front suspension on most a 4X4 or heavy duty trucks. They can be adjusted or replaced via bolts in the cross member section of most trucks.)
you can fit 285/75/r16 on that truck with no problems at all... and as far as a leveling kit i think you need a kit for the torsion keys/bars or w/e comes in the kit, but dont quote me on that

Welcome aboard Devil Dog ....one of the guys that works for me was in DaNang in 68 and 69.
I'm a converted Jeeper myself ...had a 97 TJ ...I still miss my Jeep, but I love this truck.

Semper Fi to all.
Hello all, I'm nam6869usmc's son. As you know I just purchased a 07 Silverado Duramax. Out of all the trucks I've owned, this one puts a real smile on my face. Now I have to accessorize it like my F-250. Thanks to my dad's connections, we just purchased a set of Procomp extreme T/As 285/75/16 for just under $600. I can't wait to see how they look and handle this winter.
