Oil pressure gage 04 Silverado
 

I have a Chevy Silverado 2004 4 x 4 Z 71
I have noticed twice now while driving about 60 MPH, The oil pressure gage shoots up to 80 which is as high as it goes. Also the RPM s stay between 1 and 2 which does not seem normal for 60 MPH. It is scaring me. I am wondering if it due to the recent recall on the gage system. But it seems to get loud at that point as if it is not shifitng properly

Anyone else having this problem?

That is a normal rpm for 60 in your truck. As far as the oil pressure gauge - I dunno.

i would think that if there was a recall on the gauge, then go get it checked out...not like it'd cost you anything...

RPM is good, and oil presure may shoot up when accellerating and torque converter slipping.

80 is too high..I doubt its at 80...look into the cluster recall
