Piston Slap Getting Louder!

Hi Guys,
My 2000 Silverado with 248,000 miles on my 5.3 v8 has had a piston slap for over 150,000 miles when I first start it. Now it is getting louder. I would like to reach 300,000+ before I exchange engines. Is there something I can do such as an oil additive or different oil? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Best truck I have ever owned!
Thanks in advance,
Andy R

Probably not....a 10w30 oil rather than 5w30 might help a bit at startup.

Heard Lucas oil additive works wonders for high mileage vehicles. Wouldn't hurt to try?

Put Lucas trans stop-slip in my old 89 pickup right before I sold it. Worked great.

I've also heard that their oil conditioner works good too. Can't hurt.
