my new plow was just installed the other day and every time i hit the joystick, my battery gauge plummits, i expected this much but whats my options? second battery and isolator? or should i upgrade my alternator?

I would definitely clean all the connections before you do anything and be sure to check the ground. After that I would say it would be an alternator. how big is the one you're running?

You need more amps.Bigger alternator.
