hey i have a 01 silverado 1500 and the power steering has been squealing lately but only when i turn the wheel to the right and only at speeds over like 15 mph. i doesn't do it at slow speeds, or when the wheel is str8 or taking a left turn.

 

still have no clue whats going on

 

Did you replace the belt yet?

 

Is it full of fluid? When they're low they tend to squeal

 

i changed the belt last month and the fluid is full

 

i'm thinking of replaceing the power steering pump

 

I think I would try to tighten the belt one more time. Before you thro any more money at it.

 

i took the belt off this morning and wirebrushed the grooves on the P.S. pump pully so its nice and clean but its still making the same noise
