Problem!! Cant figure out the noise

I just recently lifted my 99 gmc sierra 6 in. nothing big just wanted an aggresive look, but as expected noises started happening. one that i cant figure is a loud squeak coming from the mid section of my truck whenever i take off. a friend of mine has the same truck just on 03 and he also has a 6 in lift and his truck makes the exact same high pitch squeak when he takes off as well. he took his truck to the gmc dealership and they couldn't figure out. they thought it was his transfer case so they greased it up and it still made the noise. does anyone have any idea what it could be? thanks curtis

Leaf spring bushings maybe? The ones towards the front.

the sound is coming from the area between my drive shaft and the front of the truck. i will definitely check the bushings on my leaf springs, im actually looking to get them rearched soon ive lost aroung 2 inches in sag on my leaf springs so they will be completly checkouted soon. my buddy that has the same truck that makes the same noise has been driving around like that for over a year now so i guess it cant be but so bad whatever it is.

I think you need to check leaf spring bushings. I am sure you will get rid of the problem.

check the body mounts on the cab? does the noise happen when you stop or go over bumps... ?

it happens sometimes when i turn while going over a bumb. i have a slight curve that i have to cross everytime i go up my drive way and almost everytime i hear that squeak noise. but i will check out what you said.
