Q on front window?

Default Q on front window?
Just purchased a 2008 new to me silverado. What is the sotted decal around the rear view mirror for? They go completly arount the front windshield.

that is NOT a decal..........it is part of the window as far as what its for....not a clue....but my 97 has it also
