Default Question about Mirror accent piece

My wife has an '02 Avalanche and last winter, a chunk of snow/ice from a passing by vehicle hit her mirror and knocked off the painted accent piece,on the back of her mirror,in her case, its white. Its put on with 3M tape. My question is, are the mirrors from the Silverados the same and would the black pourous accent pieces from a Silverado work? I told her they sell Chrome pieces aftermarket for her Av but she didn't want chrome, and ya can't just buy the accent piece individually, ya gotta buy the complete mirror assembly, so i'm thinking if i could finda Silveradoin a junk yard, that i could remove the accent pieces and put them on her Av.

Check on ebay. You can get the whole mirror in black for $40-$50.

You could also get one from a white Z71 Tahoe/Suburban...

ignore the spam here..

Yeah,a black one should be easy to find..and even white should not be too tuff to find used..

Warning though...those caps are not meant to come off...its easy to break the tabs when removing one.
