Question about silverado suspension

I have a 200 silverado and what i have found is there is a lot more to offer in the 8 lug department in my area. I was curious if anyone here knew the details and what is involved in making the 6lug to 8lug swap? Just wondering if you can change hubs and axles or is there something i dont know. thank you for any help anyone can give in this matter and if something has already been posted sorry everyone i am a new member.

thats all you do brother converted my 6 lug axles to 8 lug for the front get timkin hubs an the rear get the whole diff, theres one little catch when u go to 8 lug you have to get new disc brakes an new calipers an new pads ur 6 lug ones wont work i found out the hard way lol but it looks sick when its done hope this helps you

The front is the easier part of this.....you should be able to use these

The Timken 8 lug hub and bearings are listed here
2000 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Wheel Bearing And Hub Assembly - National, Part Master, Timken - TheAutoPartsShop - TheAutoPartsShop

The SP580302 and SP580303

8 lug Wagner Rotors are listed here
Disc Brake Rotor Wagner Brakes Bd126036

The rear it would be best to purchase from a salvage yard as a complete unit.

Is this truck a 1500 or 2500? If it is a 2500 you may not need to replace the calipers like 01liftedsilverado did
