RE: Question im just full of them?
More spark and better current to provide the spark. I'm getting ready to put NGK spark plugs and JBA wires on my truck so I'll let you know how it goes.

RE: Question im just full of them?
It is supposed to get you a more complete combustion by decreaseing the amount of unburned fuel that gets passed through to the exhaust. As SC_CHEVY said, hotter and bigger spark.
SC_CHEVY let us know how it goes man, I am going to change mine in the near future, after I get my exhaust done. |
RE: Question im just full of them?
I sure will smoke! I was very lucky with my spark plugs. I bought them off of ebay motors at a great price. I've received them but I'm still waiting for my JBA wires. I post the results and some pics as soon as I install them.

RE: Question im just full of them?
if anyone cares (lol) i put some Bosh Platinium plugs (the ones with 4 electrodes) in my 4.3L and im sure that it help it burn the fuel better and gave me a little more ooommph ( i cant remember what the old plugs felt like since i did this like 5-6 months ago) im still runnin on stock wires but when i see that the rubber is getting rotted ill put some new ones on

RE: Question im just full of them?
Hunt, I have the NGK V-Power TR55 Stock No. 3951
They are high performance spark plugs and are excellent from everything I've read. A lot of NHRA teams use NGK plugs... NGK has a pretty decent website with lots of information. http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/ |
RE: Question im just full of them?
Hunt - funny you should ask that as I was looking for mine the other day as well to see if it contributed to my lower gas milage. After a bit of a search, I found out it is built into the fuel pump, so we don't have to change them until we need a new pump. Also it is in the tank.
