Quick Bluetooth Q 3013 Sierra- no Bose

(2013) Could someone confirm what I already suspect, that my 2013 Sierra with Bluetooth will connect for calls but won't play music from Spotify through Bluetooth. I've been using the 3.5mm jack for music, but New phone may not have 3.5mm aux. Thanks in advance.
