A quick question????

I put on my tbs yesterday afternoon on my 03 5.3. What is the hose that runs out of the bottom, driver's side of the throttle body? I ask this because it is not all the way snugged on now that I have the tbs on it.

RE: A quick question????

Yeah there's one on each side. The one on the driver's side is about 4-5" long. The other one is much longer, wraps, and comes up towards the radiator. When I pulled it out of the throttle body, it was kind of a light red liquid that came flying out. I put it back on but not as snug as it was. Should I be ok?

You can bypass that.

I think that's what I might do after work today. I was reading about it on the sticky but part of it is cut off and I don't know what to do.

RE: A quick question????

if you bypass the coolant under the throttle body, should you re-hook it back up in the winter time? in virginia it gets into the low teens and even close to 0 sometimes.

i assume that all it really does is give you better throttle response with it bypassed do to the heat of the coolant not warming the air up through the throttle body? correct me if im wrong.

have a good one.

To my understanding, that sounds right. Do I just need to get a single piece of tube/steel brake line and run it in 1 straight tube instead of it breaking off at the throttle body on either side?

All you need is something to block off the tb. I just did a little rerouting off the hose that comes from the radiator. Just take off the short hose and connect the longer one to were it connected. I waited a little wile before I blocked off the tb because I forgot about it. But I fond some vacuum line caps and used them to block it off.
